VOICEMATTERS
IN EDUCATION
INSET DAYS
|
I have developed a specific Voicematters workshop for teachers and mentors, which provides excellent Inset Days. It aims to train and give guidance on all aspects of use of the voice and speech.
This means that an effective voice and clear articulation can be achieved and maintained, thus avoiding the voice problems which frequently compromise teachers’ well-being and effectiveness.
These interactive sessions include many exercises and practical tips, all related to the teaching experience. They also include advice on helping deal effectively with presentations to adult audiences.
As a Voice Care Network UK tutor I can fill in any gaps in the area of technical knowledge about voice, clarity or pronunciation. This may be relevant to the continuing personal development (CPD) of teachers and is particularly beneficial to newly qualified teachers (NQTs)
As well as developing the teacher or mentor’s own voice and speech it also means that they feel more qualified to help their students develop effective use of voice and clearly spoken English. This can of course be an invaluable help in various areas of the National Curriculum.
Voicematters provides a popular and lively presentation at a Conference or Away Day for teachers, heads or administrators.
